2017 California 4-Star WR Bryan Thompson Commits to Boise State

Boise State added their second four-star recruit to their 2017 recruiting class on Wednesday when California receiver Bryan Thompson pledged.
Thompson started jumping on recruiting boards up and down the west coast after a standout junior season with 58 receptions covering 1,259 yards with 13 touchdowns. The 6-3, 190 pound, playmaker was a beast throughout his senior season helping Rancho Verde High School to an 11-2 mark. Thompson hauled in team-highs with 77 receptions, 1,377 yards, and 14 touchdowns.
The number of offers on the table for Thompson was around 20 by the time he committed to the Broncos. Teams like Colorado, Washington, Arizona State, Nevada, Colorado State, UNLV, San Diego State, Oregon State, Washington State, and Arizona all reached out with a scholarship offer.
Thompson took an official visit to Oregon on Nov. 12 adding concern for BSU fans. Fears were put at ease on Wednesday with a post reading, “Officially committed to Boise St. #bleedblue.”
247Sports rates the Broncos class No. 64 in the nation, tops in the Mountain West Conference. Rivals sees the class about even at No. 63. The other four-star recruit for Boise State is cornerback/receiver Jermani Brown. Brown committed on Aug. 21.
