2017 Sachse DL Tony Krasniqi Commits to North Texas

North Texas expanded their 2017 recruiting class on Wednesday with the addition of in-state talent Tony Krasniqi.

Krasniqi has proven to be a disruptive force for the Mustangs lining up in the trenches. Squaring off against Texas 6A competition, Krasniqi has helped his squad to an 8-0 start on the season coming up with 46 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss, eight sacks, and 17 quarterback hurries. He has also helped out on special teams blocking a field goal attempt.

Colleges love the grit, strength, and athleticism Krasniqi brings to the field securing offers from Nevada, Lamar, Fresno State, Northwestern State, and North Texas. Although Krasniqi plays tackle at the high school level, listed at 6-1, 240, unless he really packs on the weight over the next couple of years, his future at the Division-I level will be at end.

North Texas fans found out about his commitment on Twitter with a post reading, “I am blessed to say that I have verbally committed to the University of North Texas! #NewDenton.”

The Eagles now have 12 verbal commitments to their 2017 class.
