Safe to say the movement for Colorado is real and recruits are taking notice. The Buffaloes reeled in their 21st verbal commitment of the 2017 class on Tuesday securing Los Angeles area defensive end Jacob Callier.

Callier is the eighth California recruit in the 2017 class to call the Buffaloes. The 6-2, 250 pound, end brings with him a wealth of experience playing for St. John Bosco, one of the top powerhouse high school football programs in the nation.

The win for Colorado on the recruiting trail is telling. Callier committed to the Buffs over offers from Arizona State, San Diego State, Hawaii, Nevada, San Jose State, and Arizona.

247Sports rates Colorado’s 2017 class No. 27 in the nation, No. 4 in the Pac-12, while Rivals rates the group No. 19. The Buffaloes improved play on the field has helped turn heads to Boulder. Even if the Buffs class slides in the rankings, the improvement in the rankings thus far from a No. 67 finish in the country in 2016 is night and day.
