Trivenskey Mosley has been a star in the Woodlawn Knights backfield for the past four seasons working his way to 12 reported scholarship offers and a three-star recruiting ranking (247Sports). One Jan. 21, Mosely announced that he will play his collegiate career at Southern Miss looking to make an impact with the Golden Eagles offense in a similar fashion to his days against Louisiana 4A competition.
In his monstrous senior campaign, the star playmaker ran the ball 252 times for 2,473 yards and had a whopping 32 touchdowns. Mosley also chipped in with four more scores on special teams and had a receiving touchdown.
The 5’11”, 195 pound, star held offers from Tulsa, Louisiana-Lafayette and the University of Texas-San Antonio but decided to make his first and only college visit to Southern Miss. After his official visit to USM on Jan. 19-21, Mosley spoke to The Shreveport Times about his trip saying, “I loved it. I felt at home from the minute I got there.”
Although Mosley has made his verbal commitment to Southern Miss, he won’t be able to officially sign with the school for another two weeks until February 7th, National Signing Day.
With a knee injury to Southern Miss redshirt freshman running back Darius Maberry, there will be room for Mosley to make a splash next season and become the next collegiate star to come out of Shreveport.
