Interveiw
Kendall, the Wolverines picked up a big 31-28 win last time out over Fayetteville on Friday, it has to feel good getting the first win of the season under your belt.
“Oh yes. It feels good getting the win after going through the struggles and injuries we have had this season. Going into a conference battle against a really good team, we played hard and came out with a victory. I am very happy.”
How did the game go overall?
“The game went well. It was rainy and slippery. Our offense did well. We are an air-raid offense, it was hard on them with the rain. Our defense held it down. We knew it was all or nothing to win the game. We gave it our all.”
The stat sheet shows you were a busy man with 15 tackles, how did the game go for you?
“I feel I played well. I forced a fumble late in the game, I stripped the ball, and I had two good sacks. We have to continue to build from here. I am pleased with how we played as a defense against Fayetteville.”
You guys get Springdale this Friday, what kind of a match-up will that be for the Wolverines defense?
“They have a really good running back who gets about 150 yards a game. They will try to run on us – they can try to run on us. They have a pretty good quarterback as well. I sacked him four times last year. Hopefully, he still has nightmares about me and we get the win setting us up for a conference run.”
Any new recruiting updates after your commitment to Vanderbilt?
“I am visiting for the Florida game, in two weeks. That will be my official with my parents.”
Kendall, thanks for your time today and good luck against Springdale.
“Thank you.”
