Interview

Kayshon, since we spoke last, the Tigers have played New Iberia and Captain Shreve splitting the contests. How did the win over New Iberia go?

“It went well. It went down to the fourth quarter. They were up 3-0. Our coach was asking for a big play. He said if we get that big play we’ll win. They put me in at running back. I made a couple of big plays and won the game on a 15-yard TD run.”

What kind of game did you have outside of running the ball on the winning drive? Did you play any defense against New Iberia?

“I only played offense but had a good game on that side of the ball. We only threw four passes the whole game.”

Against Captain Shreve, there was far more offense on display and points going up on the board, how did the game go for you?

“I had two touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving.”

What were some of the things you did well?

“I played my role, blocked, caught some passes, and played a little more at running back.”

I’ve asked you this several times, but since we are at the mid-point of the season, from the start of the season to now where are you seeing the biggest improvements in your game week to week?

“My route running and footwork.”

You guys get Patterson tonight, what kind of match-up do they provide for you guys on both sides of the ball?

“A good one. They have some play-makers on their team. We have to get after it. We will throw more in this game.”

You visited LSU for the Louisiana Tech game, how did that visit go?

“It was good. LSU was winning, and then Tech came back to make it a game, but LSU won.”

What did you do during your visit?

“I watched the game. After the game I talked to the players and coaches.”

Are you going to LSU’s home game against Ole Miss on Saturday?

“Yes, sir. I usually go to their home games.”

When you talk to college coaches who have not offered, is there anything that they are telling you they want to see on your game reel?

“No, sir.

Kayshon, thanks for your time today and good luck tonight.

“Thank you.”
