We learn the most through trials and tribulations, and the 2023 season for Wando High School (Mount Pleasant, SC) offered opportunities on the gridiron to grow. A hard season was had, but through hard work players got better. One of the Warriors improving upon his game this fall was 2025 talent Brock Feinberg.

Asked about his junior campaign with Wando, Feinberg shared, “For me personally, I did awesome this year. It was not the best year for the team (1-9). I started both sides of the ball; I played the whole game. I averaged 10 tackles a game. I didn’t do bad.”

Feinberg (6-1.5, 230) was used all over the field in 2023.

“I was at H-back, Mike linebacker, and some at running back,” Feinberg stated.

The 10-game season provided Feinberg chances to get better on offense and defense.

“My blocking and my technique got better – like hitting and not letting go,” Feinberg shared. “This was my first year playing varsity at linebacker; I did really well at reading and coming downhill. I did well in pass coverage, but with my reading and coming downhill, I did really well.”

D-I looks are coming Feinberg’s way.

South Carolina, Duke is showing some interest, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Troy; those are the main ones showing interest,” Feinberg said.

Game-day invites came with scouting views.

“I visited South Carolina and Clemson,” Feinberg stated. “I am going up to Duke on Nov. 25. I am also trying to get to UNC.”

Staying in-state to see the Gamecocks went well.

“It was awesome,” Feinberg shared. “I had been up there before. Coach Jody Wright, their tight ends coach, wanted to see me in person again. It is always awesome up there. Their fanbase is great and the energy there is amazing. I really liked the atmosphere there.”

Feinberg got to see the Tigers take down then-No. 15 Notre Dame in Clemson Memorial Stadium.

“I went to Clemson for the game against Notre Dame, it was very loud,” Feinberg said. “It was an awesome game to go to. I talked to their coaches; they were seeing how I am doing. I really want to get up there for a night game, it is usually a different atmosphere at night. They have great facilities, and the field is amazing.”

Asked about the vibe on the team after the big win over the Fighting Irish, Feinberg replied, “I went in the locker room after the game, it was outstanding. They were jumping around and throwing water everywhere. It was a great experience as a recruit. It makes you feel this is the place to be. They welcome you right away. Their coaches are sitting there when you sign in; they take their time to talk to everyone.”

For the Blue Devils’ end of season finale, Feinberg will be in Wallace Wade Stadium.

“I love their field,” Feinberg shared. “I have never been to a Duke game; I am sure the atmosphere is great. They are playing Pitt, that will be a great game. I am excited. I have not talked to their coaches yet; hopefully it goes well.”

In addition to football, Feinberg also wrestles and is studying a form of martial arts called Krav Maga that combines boxing, judo, jujitsu, and aikido.

On Oct. 10, Feinberg announced his first scholarship offer coming from Limestone University.
