ACC and SEC visits this week for Florida four-star LB Zavier Hamilton, top schools coming
A top-four is coming. College teams have presented four-star linebacker Zavier Hamilton with 21 offers and the list is about to get trimmed. The Navarre High School (Navarre, Fla.) defender had a busy March making the rounds and added to that today heading to Florida State. On Saturday, Hamilton will make a stop at Auburn.
Hamilton updated his spring travel schedule.
“I have been to Auburn, Mississippi State, Kansas, and USF,” Hamilton said. “I am going to FSU on Thursday and to Auburn’s A Day on Saturday.”
The time in Tallahassee will allow Hamilton a chance to further connect with linebackers coach Randy Shannon.
“This visit will be great for me,” Hamilton shared. “I will get to sit down with coach Shannon for the first time. We’ve been texting each other. I love going up there. It is so close to home, and there is a great vibe up there too.”
Hamilton spoke about his March visit on The Plains.
“It was a lot of fun,” Hamilton stated. “I was there for their Junior Day. I saw the new facilities; it was a lot of fun.”
The four-star spoke about why he’s ready to return to see the Tigers.
“To watch them practice, I hadn’t watched them practice before, but I will see them in the spring game,” Hamilton said.
After the two unofficial visits, Hamilton’s recruitment gets serious.
Asked if any schools have punched their ticket for an official visit, Hamilton replied, “After I drop my top four, it will be understood then. I have been thinking about it. I will take a few this summer. I am looking to commit in two weeks actually.”
Hamilton shared the teams making the most contact with him right now, “Florida State, Kansas, South Carolina, and Auburn.”
On Feb. 10, Hamilton released a top-10 listing Notre Dame, Georgia, Arkansas, Kansas, Michigan State, South Carolina, LSU, Auburn, Florida State, and UCF.
