The first 10 scholarship offers may have been the hardest, but the next 10 are seemingly going to flow in a hurry towards Kal-El Pascal. A relentless worker for Miami’s Dr. Krop at corner, D-I programs up and down the east coast are catching onto Pascal (6-0, 183). Teams have dropped 10 offers in the new year on Pascal’s desk pushing him to 14 total. The next round could come from in-state ACC programs.

The offer sheet already pops with Georgia Tech, Pitt, Maryland, Liberty, Syracuse, and Arkansas State offering Pascal. Who has been lighting up Pascal’s phone, that was revealed.

“Georgia Tech most definitely, UM (Miami) most definitely, Western Michigan, Maryland, I am going up there next week, the Arkansas State Red Wolves, and Pitt,” Pascal said. “And I visited FIU a couple of days ago.”

In addition to visiting the Panthers, Pascal spent time with the Hurricanes last week.

“Oh wow,” Pascal stated. “I’ve been there three times, and I have loved it each time; I’m not going to lie. Their coaches, especially coach (Jahmile) Addae (DB), coach DVD (DeMarcus Van Dyke – FIU), coach Mario Cristoball, Tim Harris (RB), and coach (Edwin) Pata (WCA) are on me heavy.

“My mom grew up with coach Pata; he is like family. Coach Addae, coach DVD, and coach Harris have been trying to get to know me more; they have been pushing that relationship hard. Coach Addae and I are texting every day or every other day. At their spring game he said he was going to text me on Monday to find out when I can come back.

“Steven Schrum (mgr.), that’s my guy. I talk to him almost every day. He tells me good stuff, like the coaches are very interested. Coach D-Train (Dennis Smith), I talk to him as well. They are on me heavy and recruiting me hard.”

In early April, the three-star talent made it to Atlanta bonding with the Yellow Jackets’ staff.

“I loved that visit; I’m not going to lie about that either,” Pascal said. “Coach (Travares) Tillman (DB), coach (Kenyatta) Watson (dir. scouting), recruiting coach (Brooks) Barrineau, and their defensive coordinator, coach Andrew Thacker, that visit was wonderful. I loved it, and my mom loved it.”

Pascal continued, “The visit was a lot like UM. Georgia Tech is not too far from home, and it is outside of Florida, my mom likes that. Their coaches welcomed me in like one of their players. I loved it.”

The upcoming visit with the Terrapins, either on April 21 or 22, was previewed.

“I am excited,” Pascal shared. “I am going up there with my teammates, my mom, and my teammates’ moms. We are all excited about that. I can’t wait to get up there to meet coach Brian Williams (DC) and chop it up with him. I am excited to meet their defensive backs coach, coach (Henry) Baker, and head coach Mike Locksley. I want to see how they run things, and I want to see the campus. I want to evaluate their players, their defense, and see their facility.”

Come May, Pascal will hang with the Seminoles in Tallahassee.

“I’m really excited about that visit,” Pascal stated. “Coach Randy Shannon, I have been talking to him. I can’t wait to get up there honestly. I want to see the campus and do the photo shoot; they have some fire gear. I want to see the down south players they have there.

“Lawayne McCoy (Miami Central) just committed there. I like what they have to offer. With McCoy committing there, I want to see what is so special about FSU.”
