There’s a point in time when all young athletes are on the same line in terms of athleticism, talent, and understanding of a given sport. As in every category of life, as the years progress, the determined and gifted start pulling away from their peers by showcasing something special. Ready to make the move from Grimsley Junior High School to Bentonville West High School (Bentonville, AR), Logan Hart is projecting to be a national recruit.

Everyday football fans can see something unique about Hart (5-11, 160) when he drops back to pass. The understanding of the offense, progressions, and mechanics are beyond a Class of 2029 talent.

In five games played during the 2024 season, Hart hit 71 of 98 attempts for 1,878 yards posting 17 scores. On the ground, he rushed for 436 yards with six more touchdowns.

“We were running a Spread offense,” Hart stated. “When I get to Bentonville West, I will be staying in a Spread offense.”

Hart added, “We run a lot of concepts like mesh, scats, spots, scissors, and dangers. We do a lot of medium to deep routes, hot routes, and stuff like that.”

Preparing to level up with the Wolverines, Hart is hard at work.

“We’ve started practicing; we started in January,” Hart said. “Freshman and varsity coaches are there every day. I work with varsity coaches every day; they can’t wait until I get there. I work with the varsity on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I work with the freshman team on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.”

One college program has stopped by the Bentonville West campus to see Hart throw this spring.

Arkansas came by,” Hart shared. “Coach Bobby Petrino came by; I threw really well that day. He watched me; he told my high school coach that he really liked me.”

Down in Dallas, Hart receives extra one-on-one QB training.

“I’m working with the best QB trainer, Jeff Christensen and Jarred Park,” Hart exclaimed. “They work with Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City), Dylan Raiola (Nebraska) – all the big QB names out there, he’s probably training them.”

More details on training with coach Christensen were provided, “We work on everything. More on the mechanics side – footwork, he changed my mechanics, he’s helped me see the field better, see what I am supposed to see, and use my arm and feet to the best of my ability.”

Early goings at exposure camps like NXGN, Prep Red Zone, QB Universe (taking second), and You Are Athlete (winning MVP), Hart has exceeded expectations. In late April, Hart will compete at the Young Gunz QB Challenge in Bradenton (FL).

After the exposure camps, Hart is ready to spin it for college teams this summer.

“I’m going to Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Ole Miss,” Hart stated. “I may go to Pitt State and some other college camps around the area.”

Another area where Hart showcases his athleticism is in track and field events and playing basketball. Hart is running the 100, 200, 4×1, and 4×2 this season.
