Thomasville High School only gave up 16.8 points a game as they finished 2020 season with a 10-3 record. One of the stars of their defensive unit is junior linebacker Wayne Davis, who was all over the field making big plays for the Tigers. During his junior season, Davis racked up 76 total tackles including 17 for a loss, three sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble while blocking two extra points and one field goal.
This 6’2”, 180-pound, tackling machine has tremendous size and strength while also possessing good field vision and leadership. The Class of 2022 recruit is currently working hard both on the practice field and in the weight room to earn his first college offer as he is already drawing interest from several schools.
In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Wayne to talk about his successful junior season and get an update on his recruiting process.
