College teams letting Alvin Henderson know he’s received an offer has been the easy part, but trying to keep tabs on him going forward is the harder part. The 2025 tailback out of Elba High School in Alabama is up to 66 offers creating competition just to get him on the line. The messaging from a few teams has broken through with spring visits taken to Auburn and Georgia. On Tuesday, the four-star is taking an unannounced visit to Florida State.
Henderson updated which teams are reaching out on a daily basis to forge that recruiting bond.
“Currently I am talking to Oregon’s position coach every day (Carlos Locklyn), Auburn, Florida State taking to coach (Mike) Norvell,” Henderson said. “From Auburn, I am talking to coach (Hugh) Freeze and coach Cadillac (Williams – RB). I’m talking to Texas, coach (Tashard) Choice (RB) and coach Sark (Steve Sarkisian); I am in contact with them a lot. I am also talking to Georgia and Alabama.”
The in-state trip from Elba to Auburn was covered.
“It was everything I expected,” Henderson shared. “I hung around their coaches all day. Every time I go there, they make it the best visit – they make me happy. We went downtown and ate. Their fans were showing me how much they wanted me to come; it was all around great.”
On Saturday, the Bulldogs got Henderson on campus.
“At Georgia, I got to sit down with coach (Dell) McGee (RB), and we went to eat,” Henderson stated. “Every time I go there, they show me how they handle business and why they are No. 1 in the nation. They show me the standard they set around there is on point and top tier. They show you how you will better yourself as a player and as a person there.”
The surprise trip to Tallahassee takes place tomorrow.
“I’m going to Florida State tomorrow,” Henderson shared. “I have nothing else planned right now. I want to go to Texas, Clemson, South Carolina, and Tennessee, that will be sometime in June.”
Henderson previewed his return trip to meet up with the Seminoles.
“Every time I go to Florida State, it is a great visit,” Henderson said. “Coach Norvell, (Austin) Tucker (SOA), and coach “Rat” (Keiwan Ratliff – dir. of player relations), they always show me a lot when I am there. They talk about how they will develop me as an all-round person if I go there. I love going there, to them and Auburn. I love visiting there.”
