BRADENTON, Fla. – The Manatee High School (Bradenton, Fla.) football program has a lot of fantastic player developments in the works. On both sides of the ball, the Hurricanes’ coaching staff are preparing their players for next level success. One of the players college scouts are watching is 2025 receiver Ramsey Cole.
More targets will be coming Cole’s way this fall, and if the ill prepared opposition kicks to Cole, a lot more scores will be going on the board. Cole secured 14 passes during his sophomore season covering 182 yards with one score. Adding return specialist to his resume, three punts were marched back 44 yards and five kicks for 180.
“This spring I worked on getting faster, getting in and out of my breaks faster, getting in and out of my breaks smoother, and working on my ball skills,” Cole said. “I also have worked on developing better chemistry with my quarterback now that we are not using two QBs.”
Cole continued covering his spring development, “I feel like I have been able to really create separation, and I worked on my hands; I didn’t have any dropped balls.”
Part of Cole’s spring training was on the track displaying the wheels.
“My PR (personal record) in the 100 is 10.8 and I ran a 22.2 in the 200 meters,” Cole stated.
Pushing defenders all over this fall, the Hurricane coaching staff will stretch the field with Cole.
“I’m running a lot of deep ball routes, go-routes, posts, digs, and things like that to get open and get into space,” Cole shared.
Holding offers from Florida A&M and Alabama-Birmingham, Cole has three college camps on the summer itinerary.
“I am going to USF, FSU, and Valdosta camps,” Cole said.
Visits to FAMU and UAB are in the works for Cole.
