Over the last three seasons Bentonville High School has been nearly unstoppable on the field. The Tigers have suffered a few regular season losses in the past two years but have ended up pulling it all together by season’s end winning back-to-back Arkansas high school state championships in football.
The 2015 season is starting off on a similar note posting a 4-0 record to start the season with wins over Rockhurst (MO), Valor Christian (CO), Rickards (FL), and Fort Smith Southside.
Winning another 7A West conference title and a third consecutive state championship will not be easy, but the Tigers have one very familiar thread between all the teams, quarterback Kasey Ford.
The 6’5”, 260 pound, pro-style quarterback is on the verge of doing something no other Arkansas high school quarterback has ever done at the 7A level, win three state championships as the team’s starter.
One thing that is different about Ford than most high school football players, even though he is a very good quarterback with interests from Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas at one-time and an offer from Louisville, he is bucking the trend of dropping back into the pocket for painting the corners of the plate with 92 mph fastballs at the collegiate level.
We quizzed Kasey on all thing football in a previous interview, but wanted to know what the Kansas State baseball commitment was like off the field putting him through our rapid fire question and answer session.
