The Arkansas Razorbacks added their sixth Class of 2017 verbal commitment Thursday night landing in-state offensive lineman Kirby Adcock.
Adcock helped Nashville High School to a 15-0 record in 2015 steamrolling through the season beating Prairie Grove 39-20 for the 4A state title playing tackle for the Scrappers. Along the way he blocked for Class of 2016 dual-threat quarterback Leonard Snell who passed for 1,869 yards with 17 touchdowns and rushed for 1,904 with another 27 scores. He also paved holes for fellow Class of 2016 all-purpose back Darius Hopkins. Hopkins rushed for over 1,600 yards with 27 touchdowns catching next level recruiting attention.
The commitment went national via a post on Twitter reading, “I have committed to play football for The University of Arkansas! I have discussed it with my family for a couple of days and decided it is a great fit for me! Thank you to all the coaches and everyone who has shown me support through this process! WPS.”
Arkansas won the recruiting battle for Adcock over offers from Iowa State, Southern Miss, Louisiana Tech, Indiana, and Arkansas State.
The Hogs have been on a recruiting roll over the past week adding Maleek Barkley (April 3), Dwyane Fisher (April 6), and Adcock (April 7).
