The festivities from National Signing Day are ongoing as teams scramble to fill holes left in their roster for the upcoming 2021, and beyond, season. Since the dust has settled, UTSA inked three-star Monroe JUCO defensive end Jimmori Robinson on Thursday. Auburn and Texas A&M followed suit on Friday adding a pair of three-stars to their class.
Seeking an immediate impact player in the offensive trenches, A&M went into Utah landing massing lineman Jordan Moko. Moko, listed at 6-5, 335, is rated as the top offensive tackle in the JUCO ranks, sixth overall. The Snow College standout had a great list of suitors seeking his talents with over 20 offers extended. Among the many included Florida, California, Oregon, Utah, Tennessee, TCU, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, LSU, and Auburn.
SEC West foe Auburn continued their ascension in the 2021 recruiting ranking securing Neshoba Central running back Jarquez Hunter. The 5-10, 190-pound, back has been about as prolific as it gets the last three seasons rushing for 5,761 yards with 77 touchdowns while securing 37 passes for 502 yards with six more trips into the end zone. Hunter landed on the season in 2018 with 1,986 yards coupled with 26 scores and then produced his best season as a junior romping for 2,088 yards and 29 touchdowns on the ground. Hunter was also widely recruited at the 20-offer mark with teams like Iowa, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Arkansas State offering.
The Tigers have moved up the national rankings in a hurry bringing on 17 commitments, four four-stars and 13 three-stars, slotted No. 27 nationally. The Aggies have been in the Top 10 for the long haul resting at No. 7, fourth in the SEC. A&M’s class now holds 24 players, one five-star, 16 four-stars, and seven three-star prospects.
