The depth under center at Auburn took a slight hit on Monday after true freshman Tyler Queen underwent Tommy John surgery.
Queen, out of Kennesaw, Georgia, originally injured the ligament in his arm pitching during his junior season at North Cobb High School. The injury was believed to heal over time without needing surgery but after going through fall camp with the Tigers surgery was needed to repair the damage.
Auburn’s depth under center is solid with Jeremy Johnson as the starter and Sean White as the backup. Senior Jonathan Wallace has been moved back-and-forth between quarterback and wide receiver and is now listed as Auburn’s third-team signal caller.
