VENICE, Fla. – Size, speed, skill, athleticism, and the “want to”, all traits to the developing game of Noah Chieffo. Spinning the wheels at a reported 4.5 rate moving a 6-5, 203-pound, frame, the Class of 2026 receiver will draw a crowd of interested onlookers from the next level this fall as he helps move the chains up and down the gridiron for Florida power Venice High School.
Preparing for the upcoming season, Chieffo shared, “I mostly work on my deep routes because that’s mostly what I do, but I work on my short routes whenever I get the chance because you never know where you will get the ball; you have to be prepared.”
Watching tape on the rising prospect, he is a capable and willing blocker on the outside. Those skills are staying at receiver for now.
“Our main focus is keeping me at wide receiver, doing what I can do there because I have been playing that position since I can remember,” Chieffo said. “We’re keeping it there.”
Florida International was the lone college team to host Chieffo for a camp this summer.
“I went to FIU,” Chieffo stated. “It was a good camp. I got my 40 and shuttle time; I did really well. I didn’t have any dropped passes; it was a good camp for me.”
The exposure has helped bring a scholarship from Gardner-Webb with Arkansas State, Mercer, and Louisville among the interested. The coaches that have seen him are keeping track.
“They like my build and my height, they like my cuts, the way I keep my eye on the ball and track it, and how I go up for the ball,” Chieffo shared.
When the college season kicks off, there are some game day stops desired.
“I would like to visit UCLA, FSU, USF, and some of those close schools,” Chieffo said.
Asked about his cross-country interest in the Bruins, Chieffo explained, “I like their campus, I like the way they teach football, I definitely like their football program, their coaches, and their players. It is just awesome. I love the campus and everything.”
