Los Angeles Valley College sophomore defensive end LaRonzo Davis seemingly has the football world on a string. The Memphis native is enjoying the California weather, getting a good education, playing high-end competitive junior college football, and has three offers in his back pocket with a lot of other Division-I schools showing interest.
The Monarchs are four games into their 2015 schedule and over the last three the defense has really started to gel allowing an average of 11.66 points per contest. While the defense is loaded with next level talent, 6’5”, 220 pound, Davis is making the most of his opportunities recording 12 tackles, 2 sacks, and 3.5 tackles for a loss.
College recruiters have noticed Davis with schools like Arizona, Cal, Kansas State, Louisville, San Diego State, Southern Miss, Mississippi State, and hometown college Memphis all showing varying signs of interest. Davis has three offers on the table from Arkansas State, Ball State, and Southern.
In a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview, I sat down with LaRonzo before the Monarchs big showdown against Antelope Valley to get an overview on Davis’ season and a recruiting update.
