The Bellevue area in Washington has a long and well deserved history for turning out top Division-I prospects. Over the last couple of years guys like LB Myles Jack (UCLA), LB Sean Constantine (Washington), CB Budda Baker (Washington), DT Marcus Griffin (Arizona), DE Shane Bowman (Washington), LB Mustafa Branch (Stanford), OL Henry Roberts (Washington), and OL Calvin Throckmorton (Oregon) have all matriculated out of the area and into Power 5 Conferences.
Another prospect originally from the area, Raveon Hoston, is making a push forward to be the next great prospect to represent his city. The 6’4”, 246 pound, defensive end is a beast on the outside able to stop the run and rush the passer.
College recruiters have noticed the Los Angeles Valley College sophomore with teams like Arizona State, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Arizona, Clemson, Boston College, Kansas State, Texas Tech, Washington State, and Syracuse all showing varying degrees of interest in the Class of 2016 JUCO talent.
The Monarchs are off to a 3-1 record with a roster loaded with Division-I prospects. In a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview, I caught up with Hoston on campus after LA Valley College defeated LA Southwest 63-14.
