Hopefully all the high school teams in Hawaii got their shots in against ‘Iolani High School this year because the 2016 season is shaping up to be a much harder task. The Raiders jumped up a level of competition in 2015, had a short roster of some 40-plus players, was seemingly constantly dinged with injuries, and had far more underclassmen on the field than experienced senior leaders. The result was a tough 2-7 season but more was gained on the field in future experience than lost.
One of a few highlights for ‘Iolani was the play of 2018 offensive tackle Jacob Isaia. The 6’3”, 235 pound, sophomore did more than just put on his shoulder pads and helmet for the Raiders out of necessity, he started and far exceeded expectations. Isaia is quickly becoming a hot prospect on the main island with teams like Washington, USC, and UCLA already showing interest in the budding talents of the UCLA Bruins legacy; Sale Isaia.
Helping push his growing interest forward, Jacob released his 2015 regular season highlight reel showing his early ability to kick, punch, slide, and move defenders with technique as he grows into his muscular frame that will one day soon allow him to dominate in the trenches; he already bench presses 315 pounds and squats 415.

Very proud of you Jakey. Keep in mind you should always keep early interest from well known programs in perspective. Love you buddy, Grampa
