Since the early 1980’s, has there been a better time to be a Clemson Tigers fan? Since the 2011 season, the Tigers have been one of the most consistent teams in the nation putting up double-digit win totals topping out at the end of the 2015 season with a run to the national championship game. Even though the Tigers are losing talent due to graduation and early NFL entry, Clemson fans can rest easy knowing top talent is still headed to campus.

The Tigers tore it up on National Signing Day bringing in letters of intent on three 5-star recruits; LB Rahshaun Smith (Bradenton, FL), DT Dexter Lawrence (Wake Forest, NC), and LB Tre Lamar (Roswell, GA). The talent level does not drop off much with 10 4-star recruits signed highlighted by offensive linemen John Simpson (North Charleston, SC) and Sean Pollard (Southern Pines, NC), RB Tavien Feaster (Spartanburg, SC), and quarterback Zerrick Cooper (Jonesboro, GA).

The 2017 class is off to a fierce start with six verbal commitments anchored by 5-star quarterback Hunter Johnson. The class thus far has been put together in groups of two with Baylon Spector (3-star) and Noah DeHond (3-star) committing in August, 2015, quarterbacks Chase Brice (4-star) and Johnson committing in December, and linemen Blake Vinson (3-star) and Matt Bockhorst (4-star) committing at the end of January.

The college camp circuit is sure to net a few more top talents for Clemson getting a strong foundation for their 2017 class before the 2016 season even begins.
