The spring and summer months were good for Ryan Mosley. The two-way performer for Carrollton High School (Ga.) caught next-level attention through spring ball and college held camps securing five Division-I offers. With a big season ahead, the 6-3, 195-pound, receiver and free safety updated his emerging recruiting process.
The Class of 2026 prospect made sure to get his name on recruiting boards this offseason traveling across the country.
“I visited Georgia, Tennessee, USF, Arizona, Arizona State, and Florida,” Mosley said. “I camped at FSU, Georgia, USF, Mercer, and Auburn.”
Staying in-state, Mosley picked up high compliments from the Bulldogs’ head coach.
“It went well,” Mosley shared. “It was professional. I toured the campus, talked to the coaches, and talked to coach Kirby (Smart). We talked about how tall I am and how good I will be.”
The Volunteers saw Mosley on their grounds twice this offseason.
“With Tennessee, I took one solo and one with my 7-on-7 team,” Mosley stated. “They took me around the campus, and I talked to the coaches. It is pretty nice there; I’m really liking them right now.”
The Gators made a good impression in Gainesville.
“That was a good visit,” Mosley said. “They showed me around the campus. I went to Florida with my 7-on-7 team.”
The new staff in Tampa is creating some exciting vibes.
“USF has a smaller campus, but they have some energy,” Mosley shared. “I talked to their head coach, coach (Alex) Golesh. I talked to all their coaches. Half of their coaches were at Tennessee, I kind of knew all of them already.”
The Trojans begin their 7A schedule on Friday welcoming Langston Hughes. Working in Carrollton’s Spread offense, Mosley gave a snippet of how he will be utilized this fall.
“On double move routes, posts, comebacks, slants, and glance routes,” Mosley stated.
Preparing for the fall grind, Mosley got after it.
“I have been working mainly on getting my legs and getting stronger,” Mosley said. “I’ve been focused on my body; my upper body, doing squats, benching, my speed, route running, and catching.”
Using his laser-timed 4.6 40-yard dash speed from a C1N tryout, Mosley has big plans for his sophomore campaign, “I want to get 1,000 yards this year with 10 to 11 touchdowns.”
Mosley holds offers from Arkansas State, Austin Peay, South Florida, Texas A&M, and Washington State.
