In the world of college football recruiting, it is never too early to start identifying future stars of the game. Down in Naples, Florida, next level scouts are already evaluating Class of 2028 signal caller Brady Quinn (6-0, 180). The eighth grader took game-day visits this fall and has a big trip to Arkansas later this month.

Playing for First Baptist Academy, school rules prevent eighth graders from logging varsity game time, but Quinn was called up for practices. The style of offense executed was covered.

“We ran a Spread with four wide, and sometimes five wide,” Quinn stated.

The big season had caught top level attention.

“The season went pretty well,” Quinn said. “We went 12-0 in the regular season but lost in the championship to a team from Sarasota. With FBU (Football University), we won regional but lost in the national title game. I was a finalist for Player of the Year and received a Freshman All-American invite.”

Focused on improving his craft, the offseason grind is underway.

“I am working on being a better runner to be more dangerous in the run game,” Quinn shared. “I want to be as accurate as I can be, I want to be 100 percent on all throws. This offseason I am working on being more accurate and being more athletic.”

Part of preparation for the 2024 season will be playing in 7-on-7 tournament with the Miami Immortals. In addition to the tournament action, Quinn will get QB direction from a couple of coaches.

“I am working with Malik Rosier, he’s a former Miami quarterback, and Ray Isaac from North Carolina,” Quinn stated.

Communication with college programs has begun.

USF (South Florida), they like me a lot, I have talked to them, Georgia Tech, NC State, and Wake Forest are showing interest,” Quinn said.

Quinn continued, “I went to USF, Georgia Tech, NC State, and Miami. I had games on Saturdays, it was hard to go on the visits.”

The Hurricanes made an impression on Quinn.

“It was cool,” Quinn shared. “I was there for their Black Out game against Georgia Tech; they had an arcade, it was cool. Miami had a cool environment. That final play, that was pretty crazy.”

Playing where the Buccaneers play helped make the time spent with the Bulls memorable.

“It was really nice,” Quinn stated. “The game was at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. When I walked in, they had a big recruit thing set up. That was my favorite visit so far.”

The next visit for Quinn takes him into SEC territory.

“I am going to Arkansas this month,” Quinn said.

The Hogs are getting two targets to campus.

“Their recruiting director follows me,” Quinn stated. “He wants me up there and my brother (Carter); they like him too. They want both of us to visit. I am excited. Arkansas is an SEC school with a great environment.”
