Like Myron Charles (6-6, 275) as a strongside defensive end or as an interior defender, wherever he lines up offensive linemen pay the price. The Port Charlotte High School (Fla.) standout is one of the best in the 2025 class with top teams across the country chasing after him.
Miami, Florida State, Florida, and South Florida were successful getting Charles on campus over the offseason. The Bulls got the four-star back in their fold welcoming him to Raymond James Stadium for the Alabama game.
“It was a cool game,” Charles said. “It was a close one for the most part. It was fun watching. It was close the whole game.”
The travel schedule may get heavy in the coming weeks.
“I don’t know, whichever ones I can get to,” Charles stated.
Charles continued listing the possible game-day stops, “FSU, of course, Alabama, definitely, definitely get to Miami one time, and probably a Gators’; just whichever ones I can get to.”
The attention coming from the Gators, Hurricanes, and Seminoles are on equal footing for Charles.
Florida State: “Love ‘em. Coach (Odell) Haggins (DT), that’s my guy,” Charles shared. “He texts me every day, every morning, gives me a call; not just him but the whole staff. I feel the love from them.”
Florida: “Same thing. They all constantly text, wish me well, wish my parents well; they show that they care.”
Miami: “Same thing with Miami.”
Helping push Charles to 23 offers, in August he received opportunities from Oregon and USC. With interest coming in from Georgia, Charles updated which teams are in regular contact.
“All of them – Bama, Miami, FSU, the Gators,” Charles said.
On the field, Charles is as advertised. Primarily playing as a standup end, the opposition has little choice but to direct traffic in the other direction. Routinely double-teamed with the occasional triple-team getting a chip from a scared running back, Charles dictates what happens on his side of the line.
