TAMPA, Fla. – When the 2023 Florida high school football season gets going, fans across the country will understand why scouts and collegiate coaching staffs love Santonyo Isaac (6-0.5, 172). The 2025 receiver for Tampa Bay Tech has earned four-star recruiting status with 29 teams wanting his skills on the roster. Four teams welcomed the playmaker to campus over the offseason with two squads bringing him into their facilities this weekend.
With the Florida Gators showing heavy interest, Isaac covered which coaching staffs are letting him know he is a priority in the ’25 cycle.
“I’d say UCF, Auburn, Florida State, and Oregon, they are showing the most interest,” Isaac said.
The four squads showing the most love are also the same teams that Isaac visited on his dime. Isaac broke down his visits to all four programs.
Auburn: “It went well. They just got a new wide receivers coach, coach (Marcus) Davis; he was nice. I got to meet him, go up there and look at the campus. It was nice there. The campus is close to a lot of things, a lot of good restaurants.”
UCF: “It was good. It is Orlando, what is there to not like about it? I have a good relationship with coach Herb (Hand), their wide receivers coach. He is a very nice guy.”
Oregon: “It went well. I went up there in June with (2025 four-star Oregon WR commit) Dallas (Wilson – Tampa Bay Tech); it was nice. It was my first time going up there and meeting them, there were a lot of good vibes. Their wide receivers coach, he was a good guy.
Florida State: “It was cool. Tallahassee, it is right up the road. It is a good college town. Their coaches, I like messing with them and they like messing with me; it was just good vibes.”
On Friday, Isaac headed back to UCF. Before returning to see the Knights, Isaac shared why he was excited to take that visit.
“Like I said, it is in Orlando,” Isaac shared. “They are having a pool party for recruits; it will be fun. I am excited to go back up there to see coach Herb and stuff like that.”
The Gators will welcome the four-star to Gainesville on Saturday for a cookout.
“I went up there recently, I met up with their coaches,” Isaac said. “They have a lot of interest in me; I’m looking forward to getting that offer.”
Beyond the possibility of receiving an offer from Florida, Isaac wants to learn more about the program and connect with the staff.
“I want to bond with their coaches and look at the school from the point of how they have helped their college athletes.”
Come this fall, there is one for-sure game-day experience Isaac wants.
“I really want to set that Ohio State vs. Michigan game (Ann Arbor Nov. 25),” Isaac stated. “That is what I really want to set.”
