ORLANDO, Fla. – The development from the fall to the summer is noticeable watching over film on Devin Jackson. The West Orange High School (Winter Garden, Fla.) talent made a statement during his freshman season with the Warriors and his skills are continuing to grow at safety on track to being a top player in the 2026 class.
Playing at the highest level of competition in the Sunshine State (4M), Jackson produced 58 tackles with five passes broken up. Game film shows everything is there for Jackson. The 6-2, 173-pound, defensive back is not afraid to come down the line putting his hat on a ball carrier, and he already has a strong understanding of the game putting himself in position to breakup passes, passes that will soon be interceptions as his game and physical abilities evolve.
Seeing him work at the DB Elite Camp in Orlando and watching team 7-on-7 film of him from a South Florida event, the athleticism and twitchy play is popping for Jackson. The well-drilled DB stays low in his back pedal with arms pumping tracking left to right fluidly flipping his hips going sideline to sideline tacking down passes. Adding to his versatility, he can also line up at corner.
On his track to being that beast in the secondary, Connecticut, Florida, Florida Atlantic, and Western Kentucky have offered with interest coming in from teams like Florida State and Tennessee.
Jackson spoke about receiving the offer from the Gators.
“It felt great, but it didn’t slow me down,” Jackson said. “I feel like I have to do more and keep progressing so I can get more offers and show all coaches what I can do.”
Jackson continued, “This year I feel that I will ball out and show people what I got.”
