Florida 2026 QB Noah Grubbs ready to spin it for Power Five programs
ORLANDO – Playing in Florida’s toughest classification, Noah Grubbs (6-4, 215) gave a sneak peak of coming attractions during the 2022 season. Spinning the pigskin for Lake Mary High School, Grubbs helped guide the Rams to an 8-4 record taking on 4M competition. The play on the field for the 2026 prospect has brought five offers thus far with more to come this summer with a planned collegiate camp tour.
Charlotte, Texas A&M, UAB, UCF, and Virginia Tech have presented scholarship opportunities with interest rising.
“There’s South Carolina that I have connections with, Tennessee, I will be at their camp, I am going to UNC, I will be at their camp, and I might be going to UCF’s spring game,” Grubbs said. “There are a good bit of teams showing interest.”
Proximity has UCF able to build influential ties with Grubbs.
“I was just at UCF’s spring practice the other day, that’s about a 25-minute drive from my house,” Grubbs stated.
Grubbs continued, “It went really well. I had a meeting with coach Gus (Malzahn) after their practice. I’ve had a relationship with coach (Darin) Hinshaw (OC/QB) for a while because his brother coached me through Pop Warner.”
Details to the one-on-one time with coach Gus Malzahn was shared.
“It was a normal conversation, nothing about football,” Grubbs said. “It was more about knowing each other’s background. When I walked in the room coach Gus’ wife was there, I was with my mom and dad, my family, and coach Hinshaw was there.”
More visits are being planned for Grubbs.
“Coming up I have UNC, I’m probably going to Tennessee, UCF again, and then to a lot of camps this summer,” Grubbs stated.
The draw to spend time with the Tar Heels was covered.
“Coach Baylin (Trujillo) connected me with coach Chip Lindsey (OC/QB),” Grubbs shared. “We were on the phone about a week-and-a-half ago, he told me to come up this spring. He also wants me to come over for summer camp.”
College coaches will see something new and different this season from Grubbs in the pocket. Those differences may look like something coach Josh Heupel is executing in Knoxville.
“We changed up our whole offense for this year; it is similar to what they (Tennessee) run,” Grubbs stated. “They sent me their camp schedule; we’ll see where it goes.”
Grubbs appeared in 11 games for the Rams during his freshman season throwing for 1,598 yards with 17 touchdowns.
