Florida four-star 2025 RB Taevion Swint updates visits, talks Colorado offer
Pushing beyond 20, the offers are piling up for Osceola High School (Kissimmee, Fla.) tailback Taevion Swint (5-10, 185). The Class of 2025 four-star prospect has spent his offseason running track, but has mixed in three visits to programs with SEC ties. The next round of trips will keep him in the Sunshine State seeing ACC teams.
With Georgia showing interest and UCF, Tennessee, Rutgers, and Texas A&M reaching out on a consistent basis, Swint left Florida this spring heading to the Lone Star State. He spoke about his time in College Station with the Aggies.
“The visit went pretty good,” Swint said. “I liked talking to their running backs coach (Marquel Blackwell) and all of their coaches. They were talking about what they expect from their players, and that is leadership on and off the field.”
While in Texas, Swint spent time in Austin with the Longhorns.
“It went well, but I didn’t get to sit down and talk to the coaches; they had an event going on,” Swint stated. “I talked to coach (Tashard) Choice (RB); we had a great time talking.”
On April 1, Swint rolled over to Gainesville to check in on the Gators.
“It went pretty well,” Swint shared. “I got there early in the morning, sat in film room for the meeting, and watched them practice; it was pretty smooth.”
Swint spoke about what stood out to him during the visit with Florida, “How they run things and everyone is jogging to the next station. They are very competitive; they look like they will be good this year.”
Later this month it is Florida State and Miami’s turn to impress Swint. The four-star shared some detail into his relationship with the Seminoles.
“They stay in contact with me, they haven’t let me off their radar,” Swint said. “They call about every two weeks, they keep me updated.”
When Tim Harris Jr. left UCF for Miami keeping his role as running backs coach, that relationship with Swint traveled to South Florida.
“With Miami, it is the same thing as with FSU,” Swint noted. “The running backs coach from UCF went over there; they’ve been showing a lot of love for me. I am sticking with him on that.”
Good news out of the Pac-12 came Swint’s way on Friday landing an offer from Colorado. Swint gave the background story on how the offer was received.
“They sent me a flier, and told me to give them a call,” Swint shared. “We talked for about 30 minutes. My teammate, linebacker Elijah Melendez, got an offer today from them too; we got a two-for-(one).”
Swint firmly put his name on the national college football recruiting map last fall rushing for 1,646 yards scoring 25 touchdowns.
