Florida four-star LB Rodney Hill shares three possible official visits
Difficult decisions are coming for Class of 2024 college football prospects. The vast majority of players will start taking their official visits in June with many opting to verbally commit over the summer months before the start of their senior season. Over at Flager High School (Bunnell, Fla.), four-star linebacker Rodney Hill hasn’t locked any schools in yet, but has a trio of programs lining up as paid for visits.
The offer sheet is at 17 with Florida, Coastal Carolina, and Kansas showing interest. One of his offering schools, UCF, hosted him in March for an unofficial.
“It went well,” Hill shared. “Coach (Ernie) Sims (LB) and I watched film together. We were building bonds.”
Details of the conversation with coach Sims was shared, “He talked about getting me down more and getting me used to the campus so it feels like home to me.”
Potential spring visits are still up in the air, but there is a list of campuses and facilities Hill would like to see.
“I’d like to visit Pitt, UCF, UF, FSU, and Iowa State,” Hill said.
Looking ahead to possible official visits, Hill has some in mind.
“I definitely want to OV at Tennessee, Tennessee is one of my biggest offers, UCF, and if I pick up Florida, I want to OV there,” Hill said. “Pitt is a possibility too.”
Hill shared why Tennessee is one of the programs atop his list for a potential official visit.
“Tennessee’s linebacker coach and I, coach Brian Jean-Mary, have a relationship,” Hill stated. “I feel that I can fit their scheme as a faster linebacker. I went up there for the Kentucky game, I really liked it.”
