The top eight released at the first of the year for Zycarl Lewis is still in place, but four teams are more of the focus for the four-star receiver. The 2024 Carrollwood Day talent has been courting Alabama, Florida State, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, Penn State, and Tennessee but two teams outside of the group have worked their way into Lewis’ inner circle.
One of the teams yet to offer Lewis but heavily in the mix is Auburn.
“My relationship with Auburn is very cool,” Lewis said. “They want me to come up there to see the campus. I am trying to plan a visit with them. I am planning an OV with them.”
The Tampa (Fla.) area prospect ran down his upcoming travel plans.
“Auburn, Ole Miss, Florida State, and Miami,” Lewis shared. “The first three are on Ovs. I will workout with Miami.”
The Rebels’ offense is a draw for Lewis to Oxford.
“I like the way they pass,” Lewis stated. “That is a place I am considering go to, I can see myself playing there.”
The culture set in Tallahassee with head coach Mike Norvell has Lewis ready to spend time with the Seminoles.
“I feel like the vibe up there is great; I need to get up there for an OV,” Lewis said.
Lewis is liking the vibe in Miami as well.
“It is the same as Florida State for me,” Lewis shared. “My coach contacted them; they want me to come for a workout.”
Asked if he is locked in with the four schools mentioned, Lewis replied with, “Yes.”
Dates have not been set for the official visit or workout with the Hurricanes yet.
