There’s a lot of room on Florida State’s bandwagon, after all, the Seminoles are 5-0 ranked No. 4 nationally with a fantastic opportunity to end the regular season perfect. One person who has been a believer in the Seminoles and head coach Mike Norvell from the jump is four-star running back/athlete Kameron Davis (5-10, 210). The Dougherty High School (Albany Ga.) talent made his verbal pledge on Feb. 25, 2021, and has held tight to his commitment. That belief in the Seminoles’ future is helping recruit other high-profile 2024 prospects to Tallahassee.
A rotator cuff injury has slowed the do-all athlete’s usual compiling of gaudy stats, but he’s healthy and back in the pocket for the Trojans.
“So far, the season is going better than expected,” Davis stated. “I am getting back on the field with my teammates. It felt great last week.”
Davis continued, “This year I have shown how mature I am with the game, and how I can lead a team to a great season.”
FSU welcomed their four-star prospect to Orlando for the season opener against LSU.
“The only game I have been to this season was LSU vs. FSU,” Davis said. ” I enjoyed it. There was a great atmosphere in the stadium and with the fans. Being around that was great.”
Davis sees the 2023 FSU squad ending the year as an all-time team.
“We are having a great season,” Davis shared. “Seeing the guys and the coaches, the plan put in all summer, it is going the right way. This year we win a natty.”
The Seminoles will see Davis in Tallahassee on back-to-back weekends.
“Right now, I am planning on going to FSU for the Syracuse game and to FSU for the Duke game,” Davis stated.
If any other program has dreams of swaying Davis away from FSU, keep dreaming.
“I am locked in,” Davis said. “I talk and text with their coaches every day, and I am building relationships with the current players; that is something special. I cherish that. I want the coaches to know I am locked in with them.”
Trying to take the Seminoles’ top-10 rated 2024 class to the next level, Davis is actively recruiting others.
“Right now, I am on Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State commit) and LJ McCray,” Davis shared.
Davis explained how he is informing the prized 2024 prospects.
“Just showing the guys some of the ways the offense and defense works,” Davis stated. “Being a long-time commit, I have seen more of the process than most. Since FSU wasn’t always the best, seeing the progress, I can tell them about that.”
With 21 verbal commits to the current Seminoles’ ’24 class, Davis was asked about the possibility of landing a few more top players.
“I think we will get some,” Davis shared. “We are playing it slow and trying to get them locked it.”
