A full court press on the gridiron’s elite 2025 quarterbacks is in full swing. One of those guys on the “must get” list is Houston County High School’s (Warner Robins, Ga.) Antwann Hill Jr. Hill tore apart 6A Georgia squads last fall landing in the 30-offer realm along the recruiting trail. After a trio of summer visits, Hill has a small handful of teams he’d like to visit this fall which includes a trip to Happy Valley for Penn State’s national headline grabbing White Out game.
After spinning it for 3,663 yards with 40 touchdowns against just three interceptions completing .705 percent of his passes, Hill has another big season planned.
“My goals, just me, not team goals, I want over 4K passing yards, at least five rushing touchdowns, and 40 passing touchdowns,” Hill stated. “We have the guys, the linemen and the receivers that will go get the ball, to make that happen. For the team, I want to win the county championship again, win region, something we’ve never done before, and the ultimate goal, win state.”
Putting the work ethic to the mission statement, Hill has been grinding this summer.
“I’ve been working on my pocket movement and my mobility because I feel that I could have shown more mobility on my film last year,” Hill shared. “College coaches wanted to see that, me extending plays and being a playmaker outside of the pocket.”
Four teams have stepped it up in the communications department with Hill.
“Penn State, Colorado has, Texas A&M, and Florida State has been reaching out a lot recently,” Hill said.
Early June visits were taken to Alabama, North Carolina, and Clemson, the fall travel itinerary is being put together.
“I don’t know yet, we haven’t figured that out,” Hill stated. “We’ll see which games I can hit; it is hard during the season to go out of state. We are working on a Penn State game right now. Hopefully on my bye week, I can get out somewhere.”
Hill continued sharing which game-day environments he’d like to take in if all things worked out perfectly, “I wish I could go to the Penn State White Out game, a Michigan game, USC, and a Texas A&M game.”
More information was given on the rapport between Hill and the Nittany Lions’ staff.
“Coach (Mike) Yurcich (OC/QB) and I talk every day,” Hill said. “We talk ball, talk about film, and how I prepare for games. I’ve asked them what they could do to prepare me for the league, and we keep the communication and chemistry building. I don’t want to say they are at the top of my list right now, but they are up there.”
An in-state friend committed to the Aggies is helping A&M build ties to the Bears’ four-star QB.
“Coach (Buddy) Brosky (DA) and I talk on and off; we started talking a few days ago,” Hill stated. “(2024 WR) Debron Gatling (Milton HS) and I talk about it, he is the one that got me connected with coach Brosky. We are building that relationship right now.”
