Georgia 2025 four-star WR CJ Wiley covers LSU trip, Ole Miss visit on Saturday
Nothing excites a fanbase more than knowing a four-star legacy receiver is heading to campus. On Wednesday, CJ Wiley made the trek from his Alpharetta (Ga.) area home to Baton Rouge as a prospect for the Tigers with the potential to follow in his father’s (Chuck Wiley) shoes. The ties to LSU may be strong, but other SEC teams are actively recruiting the Class of 2025 talent.
Wiley has taken two visits this spring, the first kept him in-state bonding with the Bulldogs.
“It was pretty good,” Wiley said. “I watched them practice and I met with coach Kirby (Smart), and I talked to coach B-Mack (Bryan McClendon – WR).”
While coach Smart was checking in with Wiley, coach B-Mack made an impression with one wish request.
“He told me that he wished I was in the pads doing the drills,” Wiley shared.
Over in Baton Rouge, Wiley got a full visit.
“It was good,” Wiley stated. “I got there, watched practice, took a tour around their facilities, and then I met with coach (Frank) Wilson (RB). After that I talked with coach (Cortez) Hankton (WR).”
The one-on-one time with coach Wilson helped build the recruiting bond.
“We talked about football, being Louisiana natives, and stuff like that,” Wiley said.
On Saturday, Ole Miss will welcome Wiley to Oxford.
“I’m really looking forward to Ole Miss,” Wiley shared. “It should be a good time. I already have that offer, they offered me in early spring.”
Wiley reports 18 offers with teams like Texas A&M, Miami, Kentucky, Louisville, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida State on the list.
