No matter how one tries to chop it up, Jalyn Crawford is one of the top corners in the nation. The four-star out of Parkview High School (Lilburn, Ga.) has been presented with 36 next level opportunities covering elite teams across the country. After taking three official visits, Crawford (6-0, 190) is ready to make his announcement.
On July 10, Crawford posted his three favorites listing Auburn, Florida, and LSU. The official visits taken to each program were covered.
Auburn: “It went very well. Everywhere I went there, I felt like a priority. When I was there, I felt it was a lot about me. I talked to coach Hugh Freeze and all the coaches a lot. Auburn is a great place. I feel coach Freeze can take it somewhere.”
Florida: “It went very well; I’m not going to lie. They didn’t offer until later in my recruitment, but when I went there for my first time, I could see they have a good thing going on. All the players say coach (Billy) Napier and the coaches are good guys. The official was really good; they took care of me and my parents. That was a really good visit as well.”
LSU: “LSU, I’m not going to lie. I mess with them a lot. I like the culture and the people there. Everyone there is nice and walks around with a smile on their face. Everyone is happy there. You can see why they are turning it around right now.”
Crawford broke down how he feels about each program ahead of his verbal commitment.
Auburn: “Everybody is genuine there. At Auburn, it is all positive and good vibes. And it is not too far from home. I mess with all the coaches there. The coaches and their staff, they all treat me like a priority. They treat me like they want and need me.”
Florida: “I talk to their defensive coordinator, coach (Austin) Armstrong, every day for real. He is always calling and texting me. Coach C-Ray (Corey Raymond), he is one of the best corner coaches in college football. He put all those DBs at LSU in the league. I feel that it would be a great experience to be coached by him.”
LSU: “The Tigers, I like them; I’m not going to lie. I went down there with one of my coaches, when they met up, they found out they grew up together; that was an automatic click. I am always with him. I am always talking to my coach. Coach Bobby (Robert Steeples – CB) is a good dude, and coach Bobby is from Atlanta. There was an automatic click there. I can see myself living there and playing down there.”
Fans for the three programs will find out on Saturday, July 15, at 3:30 p.m. ET, where Crawford will play his college ball.
