For months D’Antne Demery has been singing the praises of the University of Georgia as his top school. On Wednesday, Demery took his compliments to another level verbally committing to the Bulldogs.
Georgia added Demery to their 2017 class over an impressive list of suitors that could have been much higher had the Bulldogs not been his leader seemingly throughout the recruiting process. Among the many hoping to add the Brunswick High School standout includes Alabama, Florida, Arkansas, Auburn, Central Florida, Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Demery, ranked as a four-star recruit, was part of a young Pirates team during the 2015 season. The Class 5A school took their lumps a year ago going 3-7 but appear to be poised to make some noise in 2016. The 6’5.5”, 319 pound, talent is a run blocking specialist, the type of lineman Georgia offensive line coach Sam Pittman loves.
The Bulldogs now have 11 verbal commitments to their 2017 class. Demery is the second addition to the 2017 class in the month of June after Florida wide receiver Matt Landers.
