When RNG last caught up with Kahuku High School’s stud defensive end Aliki Vimahi, we proclaimed him a “fast riser on college recruiting boards.” At that time the 6’4”, 250 pound, physical specimen had translated his first team All-Conference and second team All-State honors into offers from six programs; BYU, Colorado, Oregon State, Hawaii, UNLV, and Washington State.
Since the May 10 posted interview, Vimahi has added offers from Utah, Georgia Tech, and San Diego State.
Beyond the highlight reel to support the quality of play on the field, Vimahi has a couple of clips of his physical abilities in the weight room which helps explains why all the colleges are after this Class of 2017 prospect. In the first clip Vimahi squats 565 three times. In the second clip he repeatedly clears 52” box jumps.
