The word is getting out about 2026 offensive lineman Cody Taylor (6-3, 285). Developing his craft at Arkansas’ Greenwood High School, the rising talent already has eight offers on the table with more opportunities coming his way. Backyard SEC program Arkansas just hosted Taylor and now Kansas State wants Taylor on campus for a game-day visit.
Set this week, Taylor gave behind the scenes details of how the Wildcats’ visit was planned.
“It happened about two days ago,” Taylor said. “Vincent Johnson (OGA) from Kansas State got a hold of my offensive line coach, and he told me they are very interested in me. I was invited to a game on Oct. 21; they gave me an open invite to any game. They did the same for my offensive line coach.”
Taylor spoke about his enthusiasm to see the Wildcats take on the Horned Frogs in Manhattan.
“It will be a new experience, I haven’t been there before,” Taylor stated. “Hopefully I will meet some new coaches and get to see how they play.”
One of the teams showing interest yet to offer are the Razorbacks. Taylor was on hand for the Hogs’ home game against BYU.
“They gave me a game-day invite; it was an awesome experience,” Taylor shared. “That was my first actual college game outside of the two spring games I attended at Arkansas and Oklahoma.”
Taylor continued covering seeing the Hogs play in Razorback Stadium, “We got to meet the coaches, and I did the Hog Walk. I went on the field for the pregame; I was interviewed for Channel 5 TV. That was my first time on TV. I was nervous, and happy being on TV for the first time. I talked about our football team, how the season is going, and how the team is doing.”
While in Fayetteville, Taylor got some one-on-one time with the Hogs’ coaching staff.
“They all came in before the game and talked to all the recruits,” Taylor said. “Coach Sam Pittman and I talked, and I talked one-on-one with coach Cody Kennedy, one of the grad assistant offensive line coaches.
“They talked about being really happy to have me there, and shared with me it was going to be a good game. They also spoke about having a good season.”
