Cedric Melton played his sophomore season out of position at right tackle, but how the experience garnered may help the Houston area product in the future is still to play out. At 6-4, 230-pounds, Melton could be a next level tight end, putting his sophomore work to good use, or he could be a collegiate defensive end, a position the University of Texas sees him playing. Either way, the budding Klein Cain High School star is picking up steam along the recruiting trail at collegiate camps with several left to attend. Over the weekend, Melton showcased his growing skills for the Longhorns and then sat down for a quick one-on-one RNG catch up interview covering his camp circuit.

“How fast my hands are moving and my power.”
Have you attended any camps since we last spoke in April?
“Yes. I have attended two, Prairie View and Texas.”

Which position did you compete at for the Texas camp?
“Defensive end.”
How did you showcase your skills at the Longhorns’ camp?
