Over the last two seasons, Jashawn Todd has worked his craft as play-maker with Bishop Alemany High School. The San Fernando Valley product jumped onto the scene during his sophomore season pulling in 26 passes for 379 yards with four scores and rushed 10 times for 45 yards with four more touchdowns. The 5-9, 171-pound, all-purpose athlete had a repeat performance in 2019 toting the rock 12 times for 150 yards with three scores posted on the board and hauled in 21 passes for 339 yards crossing the goal line three more times. The Warriors optimized his abilities in a different way last season, as a passing option. He even completed 5 of 6 passes for 36 yards lighting up the board one more time.
The offseason has brought change for the Class of 2021 standout, more specifically a new high school. Todd will lace them up with Oaks Christian in 2020 further pushing his boundaries as a do-everything offensive threat.
In an RNG catch-up interview, Todd heads back into the RNG Lab to talk about his Under Armour All-American Camp performance with an update on his recruiting.

Interview
Jashawn, last time we spoke you were about to lay it on some guys at the Under Armour All-American Camp. If you will, tell me about that camp performance?
“I feel like I did really well. I only had two dropped balls, but other than that I competed hard and did well.”
What were some of the drills you performed where you felt like you shinned your best?
“With the receivers’ coach, we worked on a comeback, a curl on the outside. I was getting out of breaks really well. I did really well at the top of all my routes.”
A big move was made this offseason to Oaks Christian. Before spring practices were shut down, how was everything coming along assimilating to the new offense?
“Everything was going really well. Once we all got in the weight room, we became a family working our way to a brotherhood. The break will not stump us, but everything was coming together well before the break. The offense will be high-powered and action packed this year.”
Nice. From our previous conversations, I know you’ve been working with the coaches at Formula Family Sports (Formula for Speed). What kind of workouts are they putting you through?
“We will do a lot of footwork drills. On Saturday and Sunday, we do the hills and more speed work. We are working on our power.”
Where are you seeing the changes in your game this offseason with your workouts?
“From sophomore to junior year, I was more bulked up. I have slimmed down now and I am more cut. My speed has improved as well. I am keeping my hands strong. With my routes, I am working different routes with different situations. My football IQ is improving.”
Once the college camp season gets going, are you eyeing any?
“Yes. I am going to Yale and UPenn (Pennsylvania) for a camp, and I think I will go to a San Jose State camp as well.”
Which schools are showing interest as camp season draws closer?
“Cal, Nevada, Yale, Oregon State, UNLV, UPenn, and San Jose State.”
The ban on visiting campuses has thrown everything off, but were there any visits you were going to take or any you have upcoming?
“We were about to go to Cal on March 14, but that was cancelled. I am going there in late April. The same with Oregon State and Yale.”
Jashawn, it is always great getting time in with you. I appreciate the update and wish you continued success with your offseason workouts.
“Thank you.”
