Come the end of any football season, looking back one wants to see growth and improvement on the field. The overview of Harrison’s play on the field in 2019 after a first team MaxPreps All-American season a year ago was a success. The 6-2.5, 195-pound, talent connected on 66 percent of his passes covering 2,458 yards with 24 touchdowns and rushed for 180 yards reaching the end zone four times ending the year ranked as the No. 9 QB Hit List pro-style quarterback, No. 12 overall in the 2022 class. The arm talent and ability to move the pigskin up and down the field for Centerville High School against Division I Ohio defenses has brought about offers from Louisville, Pennsylvania, and Toledo with Notre Dame and Michigan State showing interest.
To wrap up Harrison’s sophomore campaign on the field, we sat down for a 2019 season close out interview.

Interview
Chase, now that the regular season has been completed, looking back, what are you most proud of with your play on the field?
“I am proud that I raised my completion percentage up 10 percent from last season and our team record was better than the year before. As a team, we worked hard and were getting better day.”
Which game this season was your personal best?
“The Springfield game was my best. Purely off that they are one of the top teams in the state. We moved the ball well on them. That was a great team performance, it was fun.”
If there was one play of yours from the 2019 season you would show the world which play would that be and why?
“That is a tough one. Overall this year has been good. If I had to pick one, it would probably be the one against Wayne (Huber Heights). There was 30 seconds left in the game, on a third down play I rolled out and hit Cam Smith on an out and up to win the game (27-21).”
This question was given to you last time we did an interview, I ask it again. Where did you see the biggest improvements in your overall game during the 2019 season?
“My game improved by staying in pocket, reading defenses better, and having a bigger presence of mind of where the defensive linemen are and where the rush is coming from. Overall, I had a better awareness of the game this season.”
What will be the focus of your offseason workouts?
“The focus will be on getting bigger and getting in the weight room working on my lower and upper body. The goal is to go out and compete with the top-level quarterbacks this offseason. With my mechanics, I will work on improving my footwork and making it quicker.”
A quick update with recruiting. You have the three offers, which schools are showing interest?
“Notre Dame and Michigan State are showing interest. Notre Dame is showing a lot of interest right now.”
Since September, have you visited any schools?
“The last visit I went to was Michigan State verses Penn State (in East Lansing).”
How did the trip to East Lansing go?
“It was really fun. It was pouring down rain, but before the rain hit it was fun talking to the coaches and seeing the game day atmosphere.”
Are you playing any other sports this year?
“I am playing basketball.”
Are you pumped about the basketball season starting up?
“I am. Basketball is my second favorite sport. It is fun to play. I love it.”
Are you going to dunk on some fools this year?
“Oh yeah. For sure. I am going to get a 360-dunk this season.”
Good luck with that. I want to see that footage. Chase, it is always great catching up with you. I appreciate your time and wish you success with your basketball season.
“Thank you.”
