Easton Yoshino’s high school career started off with a bang in 2019 as he led Kaiser to a 9-2 record while throwing for 1,631 yards and 20 touchdowns. Unfortunately, COVID-19 canceled his sophomore season in 2020. Over the summer Easton honed his craft aided by attending a quarterback’s camp in Texas and working in the weight room to have a bigger junior campaign.
The 6’1”, 185-pound, 2023 gunslinger has a strong and accurate arm and footwork while also showing good leadership on the field. After all the hard work put into his game, Yoshino is ready to showcase his skills to college football coaches during the 2021 season.
In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Easton to talk about his high school career at Kaiser as he prepares for his junior season.
Interview
Easton, what are your strengths on the football field?
I am a good leader on and off the field. I also have a strong and accurate arm.
How are you preparing for your junior season?
We’re building this year’s squad with confidence and we’re looking solid.
What has been your best game so far during your career and why?
Our homecoming game my freshman year where I threw for 230 yards and six touchdowns.
What kind of offense does your team run?
We run a run-and-shoot offense with lots of RPOs (run-pass option).
How do your skills fit into this offense?
We have a lot of plays where I have to throw in tight spots and I have an accurate arm to make those throws.
What did you work on the most this offseason?
I worked on gaining weight, footwork, and spot throwing.
Did you attend any camps this summer?
I attended the QB Impact camp at AT&T Stadium in Texas.
What did you like about that camp and why?
The relationships I made at the camp.
Would you consider yourself a dual-threat or pro-style quarterback?
Prostyle.
Is there an NFL player that you try to model your game after?

The challenges because I handle them well.
What is your GPA?
3.6.
