Q&A Interview
Jordan, congratulations on your commitment to LSU.
“Thank you.”
How did that relationship with LSU begin and develop?
“It was nice. Their defensive line coach, Coach Dennis Johnson, he was in contact with me. He had asked me to come down for a Junior Day visit. That is when I got the personal bond with LSU.”
You visited Baton Rouge over the weekend, it obviously went well – what all did you do?
“My mom and I went out to eat. We met up with two nice ladies who showed us around town. They showed us LSU before the coaches showed us everything. We ate really well the whole time we were there.”
I bet. What impressed you with the LSU coaching staff?
“What impressed me, they want more for you as a football player and they want to develop you as a young man. They are nice, loving, and caring. They want you to do well, they actually care about you at LSU. That is the feeling I got when I was there.”
What are your thoughts about Death Valley?
“Oh! It is amazing. That is why I committed. It is a dream school. It is amazing in Death Valley.”
When did you start getting that feeling that LSU was the ideal place for you?
“I got that feeling when Coach O (Ed Orgeron – head coach), my mom, and I had a long talk. There was a lot of love in that conversation. They embraced me with love when I was there. I knew I wanted to commit to LSU. I knew I wanted to grow into a young man there and into a better football player at LSU. LSU is the place for me. It is not all just about football with LSU, it is also about the education.”
Which coach on staff received your verbal commitment?
“Coach O.”
The moment before you committed, knowing what you were about to say, what was racing through your mind?
“The moment right before, it was overwhelming. Me and my mom had talked about it. She gave me the go ahead, and I committed. I am still speechless. I am still very excited.”
When will you visit LSU again?
“I am going visit on April 6 for the Spring Game.”
Any last words?
“Go Tigers.”
Jordan, congratulations, again on your commitment to LSU and good luck with your offseason workouts.
“Thank you.”
