Interview
The last two times out the Crusaders overpowered Central Catholic (OR) and Rigby (ID), what was working well for you guys on offense?
“Offensively, we have come together as a team. Our coaches coached us up and got as back together after the Oaks Christian loss.”
How did the last two games go for you on offense?
“Really well. Against Central Catholic, I had one receiving touchdown and against Rigby I had two rushing touchdowns. For the offense overall, we did well.”
On defense, you are starting to fill up the stat sheet. Where all did you lineup on defense the last two games?
“I lined up at field and boundary corner.”
What was working for you the last two games?
“I did a good job of noticing the run and coming down at a good angel. They did not throw to my side, but in film study felt I did well baiting the QB to get the interception.”
On Friday, you guys get No. 7 Rainier Beach, a showdown of two top ranked teams in Washington. What are you expecting from the Vikings’ defense on Friday?
“We are expecting them to have a lot of athletes, but they are not too disciplined. We are going to take advantage of it.”
When you flip the field, what kind of game are you looking at against the Vikings offense?
“We watched their film, I feel that we know what they are going to do. If we do our job on defense we should be fine.”
Any recruiting interest updates?
“Not really. I have been talking to UCLA, Penn State, and Oregon over the past couple of weeks.”

When college coaches talk to you, what are they asking you and what are they telling you about with their program?
“They talk about watching my tape, they ask about how my games went, they check in on me to build that relationship, and they ask me to come to a game.”
What games did you get to watch over the weekend and what stood out to you?
“I watched Bama vs. Ole Miss and Arizona State vs. San Diego State. For ASU, I was watching my brother and cheering him on. The Bama game did not last long. I did not watch too much of that game.”
Understood. Sam, great catching up with you today. Good luck this week against Rainer Beach.
“Thank you.”
