Few Class of 2025 talents will have as many scouts watching his film as Arron White this fall. The 6-1, 155-pound, cornerback and receiver has made a name for himself this summer appearing at SEC, Big 12, and Pac-12 college camps. Before taking a varsity snap with Orange High School during the 2021 season, the Southern California native will have already secured four D-I scholarship offers.
In an RNG exclusive, White stopped by the Lab for a rundown on his offseason workouts and rapidly expanding recruiting options.
Interview
Arron, this offseason has been a busy one for you. Let’s first jump into where you will be playing ball this fall?
Orange High School.
When the season gets going, where all will we see you on the field at Orange?
At cornerback and receiver.
Of the two, which is primary position?
Cornerback.
As a corner, what have you been focused on with your technique this offseason?
My footwork, being aggressive, and using my wingspan.
And what about at receiver? What have you been working on there?
Catching and my routes.
Have you been to any national camps this spring or summer?
Yes, I went to a Rivals camp.
How did the Rivals camp go for you?
It was good. I messed up on some of the reps, but the kids were older than me so I did not put that pressure on me.
Understood. Have you been to any college camps this month?
Yes, I have been to camps at Texas, Texas A&M, Colorado, Georgia, and Lamar.
The Texas camp, how did that go?
It was good. At first, they had us warm up and then we did individual drills at corner, went into one-on-ones, and then 7v7.
Did you get a lot of good reps in at the Texas camp?
Yes.
At the A&M camp what were you able to showcase of your skills?
I had some passes broken up and I was able to showcase my backpedal.
From all the various camps, what feedback were you receiving from the college coaches?
Have you visited any college programs this summer?
Yes, I visited Colorado, Colorado State, Georgia, Arizona, Arizona State, and A&M.
Tell me about the Georgia visit.
That was a private workout. I did the one-on-ones and then toured the campus. I locked down at the Georgia camp. In 15 reps, I only gave up one catch on a comeback. Will Muschamp said I am on their radar.
Very cool. Do you have any other visits coming up?
Yes, I plan on visiting UCLA.
Offers have been coming in for you left and right, how many do you have now?
Four.
Which programs have offered you?
Colorado, Michigan, San Jose State, and Nevada.
That you know of, which programs are showing interest but have not offered yet?
Arizona State, Georgia, A&M, BYU, and Bowling Green. I want to thank my DB coach Rashad Wadood from Long Beach Poly. He helped me with most of these visits.
Arron, I appreciate your time today. Wishing you success this summer preparing for the 2021 season.
Yes, sir. Thank you.
