Kenric Jackson has been a rising star in the Green Oaks High School football program over the past three seasons. In 2016, the 6-2, 170 pound, receiver caught 38 passes for 321 yards and was named second team All-District for all of his hard work. Heading into Jackson’s senior season, a change is coming bringing hope and a renewed excitement for football at Green Oaks.
Despite Jackson’s contributions on the field the Giants could only finish with a 1-9 record. After the season, Green Oaks decided a change of direction was necessary and hired Terrence Isaac Sr. formerly of A+ Academy Charter in Dallas as head coach.
When Jackson learned of the new hire and met with his head coach, he became very excited to start preparing for his senior season because he could see the team would get a new identity and a fresh start.
The Class of 2018 prospect is currently drawing interest from several camps and has attended a camp at Tulane. Jackson has strong hands and is a good route runner and will look to use these skills and knowledge he gains from Coach Isaac to have an even more explosive senior season so he can fulfill his dream of playing at the collegiate level.
In a one-on-one interview, I sat down with one of the top players for Green Oaks covering his junior season and the change at the head coach position.
