After back-to-back 1,000-plus seasons rushing, even with defenses keying on him, college programs know what they could get landing Travelle Anderson (6-0, 205). The three-star Class of 2022 recruit ran past Arkansas 4A defenses for 1,189 yards with nine scores while hauling in 11 passes for 160 yards with another trip into the end zone in just seven games last season. Eight offers have been dropped, visits have been taken, and a potential verbal commitment is on the horizon for the Gosnell impact player.

Interview
Travelle, the offseason for all players entering their senior season raises the bar to another level. To make the most of your last run on the field at Gosnell, what have you been doing to bring the team together for that needed chemistry to make a championship run?
I’ve been leading by example, never skipping reps in the weight room, going full speed each time, and encouraging everyone while we are getting ready for the season.
For your role on offense, what have you been working on with your technique?
I’ve been working on being more explosive, working on routes, and my footwork.
What have you been doing to increase your top end speed and burst?
I have a parachute, I run with it. I have resistance bands that I use, I run in place with them. Going out to the field and sprinting, that always helps.
When do the Pirates pick up for summer ball?
We just started today.
From spring ball to conditioning and weight lifting, how is the team looking?
We are looking good. We are running a flex bone offense. Last year we ran a Spread. We will get the quarterback more involved in the offense this season. Our offense will have less passing with more running. We want to eat the clock with our offense and take our time.
That’s a great sign for you.
Yes, sir.
Are there any games on the schedule you are already looking forward to playing?
Blytheville. We were supposed to play them last year, but it was cancelled because of Covid. That was the most hyped game of the year last year. It will be even more hyped this year. Rivercrest, that game was cancelled too. I am looking forward to those two schools.
This offseason, did you compete at any national camps?
I went to a Rivals camp back in April in Texas.
Did you compete at any college camps this summer?
Yes, I went to Arkansas State.
How did the Arkansas State camp go for you?
It went well. It was more of a workout. I was with their coach doing the workout. After the workout, then I visited the school, took pics in the jersey, and all that cool stuff.
What did ASU have you do during the workout?
A lot of drills to test my decision making and my footwork, and we ran some routes. It was a pretty quick workout, about 45 minutes.
When did ASU offer you?
They offered before the workout. Arkansas State has a new staff, and they reoffered me. They asked me to workout ahead of the visit.
Which programs are showing interest ahead of your senior season?
TCU, Colorado, and Purdue.
How many offers are on the table?
Eight.
Anderson’s Offer Sheet: Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Colorado State, Kansas, Liberty, Middle Tennessee State, Missouri State, and North Texas
You visited Arkansas State, did you get a chance to visit any other programs this summer?
I visited Middle Tennessee and UCA (Central Arkansas).
How did the UCA visit go?
It went well. They had great energy when I was there. They treated me like family. I like their facilities and the campus. It was a great experience.
With some visits under your belt and eight offers in front of you, have you started thinking about a commitment date?
Yes, I am planning to do it before the season, but I am not sure of the date.
Travelle, it was great catching up with you today. Wishing you the best preparing for the season and with your upcoming announcement.
Thank you, sir.
