Palmdale High School had a great 2014 season going 11-2 with a run into the California High School Playoffs before falling to a talented Paso Robles squad. The Falcons were loaded with talents like do-everything athlete Dameon Baber (Nevada) and running back Treshawn Garrett (Weber State) but also had Dillon Knight helping anchor the defense.
Out of high school, Knight had interest from UC Davis and Wyoming but has decided to help his recruiting efforts by playing for Los Angeles Valley College. The results for the 6’2”, 240 pound, freshman have already started to pay off. The Monarchs are stacked with talent, especially on defense, yet Knight has already found his niche on the team has a hard hitting hustle player with eight tackles, two sacks, and 3.5 tackles for a loss in three games played.
In a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview, I caught up with Dillon before the Monarchs’ big game against the Antelope Valley Marauders to go over his season and how his game is adjusting to the junior college level.
