There is something special happening on the Tucker High School (Tucker, Ga.) football field. There’s an energy and electricity in the air when No. 2 has the ball in his hands. Working the Tigers’ offense like an elite point guard, Jace German has the arm, instincts, speed, and God given playmaking abilities that is attracting next level opportunities.

Executing an Air Raid offense, German (6-0, 185) has all the characteristics one wants in their field general. The Tigers gave the Class of 2027 prospect a few snaps as a freshman and then gave him full run of the offense during the 2024 schedule.

German spoke about the learning experience last fall, “Some of the things I learned, I learned more about leading my team through adversity, how to better prepare for games during the week, about blitzing, where teams like to come from, and when they like to do it so in the game, I was ready for it. I learned more about defenses and coverages.”

German shared the different aspects of his game that allows him to be a difference maker, “My ability to extend plays, getting the ball out quick when I need to, being a leader, my accuracy, I am accurate, and I have good arm strength as well.”

Preparations have been ongoing for the junior campaign.

“I have been doing a lot of off-platform stuff and working on chemistry with my teammates; we are on the same 7v7 team,” German stated. “I’ve been working on footwork in the pocket, working on escaping the pocket, and working on staying in the pocket when I don’t have to leave.”

German continued, “We do throwing sessions after track and almost every weekend we go to the high school field to work on things to get ready for next year.”

Competition against the best in the region has already happened at an Under Armour camp with another chance to shine at the Elite 11 upcoming in Atlanta.

The performance at the UA camp was shared, “It went well. It wasn’t too nerve racking. It was fun to compete with other guys to see where I stack up against other players in my class. I feel that I could have done better, but I did well overall.”

In October, USF welcomed German to campus for their win over UAB. A couple more visits have taken place in 2025 already.

“I’ve been to Georgia State, and I went to LSU a couple of weeks ago,” German said.

The Tigers made an impression while German was in Baton Rouge.

“It was a good visit,” German shared. “I liked their practice. I liked their tempo; it was fast paced. They are rolling the whole time.”

While in Statesboro, German got some one-on-one time with the Eagles coaching staff.

“It was a good visit,” German said. “I didn’t get to see them practice. I saw their players on the field by themselves working on plays. I talked to their QB coach, coach (Ryan) Aplin. We talked about leadership and being competitive, and what they are looking for in a quarterback. Their facilities are nice.”

Georgia State, Miami-Ohio, and USF have dropped offers – interest is rising.

“Boston College, their coaches text me a lot and they’ve invited to an underclassmen camp, USF, they keep up with me, and Alabama has reached out as well,” German stated.

Asked about the college programs stopping by the Tucker campus during the open period, there were too many for German to remember.

“There was a good amount; SMU came by, Vanderbilt, Louisville… I can’t remember all of them, but there were a lot,” German shared.

Looking ahead, German is ready to spin it for college coaches at camps.

“I am going to Vanderbilt, Boston College, USF, FSU, and I know there will be a few more,” German said.

The sophomore season for the three-star ended with 1,856 passing yards, 21 touchdowns against just three interceptions and he had 480 yards on the ground with six more scores posted.
