One of the leaders of the Wichita Heights defense, a defense yielding only 16.6 points per game this season, is senior defensive back Davion Ware. Ware is a versatile defender who spends the majority of his time at safety but has appeared at cornerback. The 6’0”, 180-pound, defender does a great job of sticking to his opponent in man coverage at corner or patrolling the field in zone coverage at safety. Ware’s tremendous speed, footwork, and physicality has brought in three college offers while also receiving interest from several in-state Kansas colleges.
In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Ware to get an update on his senior season before the playoffs and talk about his recruiting process.
